EXPLORATION SUCCESS

Principal technical expert and mentor to a team of geoscientists who have made discoveries of significant new mineral zones:

  • Sudbury: Victor (28N zone discovery) and Totten (230 zone discovery).
  • Thompson: Thompson Extensions discovery, the South Manasan PGE-Ni discovery.
  • Voisey's Bay: Reid Brook Extensions
  • Carajas: Jaguar Iron-Oxide Nickel Copper (IONC) discovery
  • Established and worked exploration joint venture projects in China and South Africa, and generated new project opportunities in China, India, Russia, Australia, Angola, Zambia, Canada, Greenland, South Africa, Finland, Mongolia and Yemen where I supported teams of geologists in their exploration work.

    ADVANCED DATA PROCESSING AND COMPILATION

    • IoGAS and Geoscience Analayst interface (advanced): pioneered applications to large datasets and built new exploration geochemistry templates and interactive 3D models of the geochemistry of ore bodies
    • ArcGIS
    • Datamine Studio: developed routine applications and designed new applications for treating large geochemical datasets in 3D
    • GoCAD and Leapfrog
